Computing (as an industry as well as a pastime) has changed remarkably in the short fifty years it’s existed. In this time, computers have changed from where they started out as enormous, cumbersome machines requiring entire rooms and office blocks to function, into sleek, desirable objects found in many a living room, classroom and even pocket. Gordon E. Moore, a co-founder of microprocessor giant Intel, stated in one of his papers in 1965 that computers were getting essentially twice as cheap, powerful or small every two years due to rapid advances in transistor technology.
Why You Need a USB Flash Drive
Do you remember those days when having a USB flash drive was a luxury? These days, it seems that even though more people have them, they are taken for granted a lot. I have even met some people who do not have a USB flash drive or have at least one but do not use them on a regular basis. That being said, is it still sensible to invest money on a USB flash drive? It’s not like these devices are expensive. In fact, you can get USB flash drives with humongous storage capacities for relatively cheap prices. You can even get specially designed USB flash drives that stand out from the rest. The question is still up in the air, though. Why would one need to buy a USB flash drive these days?
How To Build USB Flash Drives Security
Advances in technology driven by lower prices for NAND Flash, has led to a number of small units that can contain large amounts of data. The device that summarizes all of this is the USB flash drive. In 1999, a 16 MB USB Flash Drive 50 pounds now a USB flash drive 4 GB costs just 10 pounds. (more…)
