There is a difference between knowing which keywords rank with your site and which content relates to your site in a search with in the keywords that target your site. For instance; let’s say a user types “shoes for less” in a search box and the results are related to shoes; however there is one site that is on page one and has no relevance to the query’s intent. Perhaps the search engine tagged your keyword “less” with the other sites for shoes, and since your site has a high page rank it showed on the results. This does not mean that you will gain more traffic; this means you need to analyze where your keywords add up on a search.
